the half cup of water

exactly one year ago, i made a wish to spongebob, wanting to fill the cup of water. it was already half filled, shouldnt be too difficult right? =] throughout the year, the water level had been oscillating. taking just the RMS water level, it should be about 10% now. being an optimist, i am glad that the cup is 10% filled, instead of 90% empty. but the engineer side of me insisted to take the rate of change of water level. despite the oscillations, the rate of change is evidently decreasing. consultants were brought fro to analyse the situation and suggest some action forward with reference to the cup of water. an unanimous vote was casted; to abandon the cup of water and get another cup instead. this cup is leaking. HAHA. apparently wishes to spongebob dont come true!(humph) maybe patrick might work?
