many many many many many years ago, when $50 is "woah! i feel uber rich la", a classmate complained that shes broke. she had more than $50 in her wallet. ($50 was my richest time. kelly, u had to dig from ur piggy bank for birthday presents remember) at that time, i realised that, broke isnt really broke!
many many many many many years passed. as the frequency between friends became more and more in tuned. the word "broke" means $3 in the bank and $10 in cash to top up the ez-link card. i grew comfortable and accept it whenever people use broke as a reason. forgetting the lesson learnt many many many many many many many years ago!
once again, history repeats itself. someone had once again showed me that "broke" doesnt really equate to "broke". it would probably just mean that im not worth the time, effort and money. gooodness, yanxin, its time to learn NOT to take reasons as they are!
man, i really appreciate friends who had agreed to meet me even though their wallets are down to the last $5, friends who had made the effort to plan for a low budget outing even when they were broke, friends who had hunt the whole of jurong east for a 5cent on the floor cause our combined resources were short of 5cent for a $1.25 item, friends who were willing to walk to meet up because they were broke.
seriously, i need to remind myself not to take broke as a reason anymore!
