SOP for doing push ups!


today, i came home with the resolution to do 20 push ups a day so that i can go back in krabi to climb one year later. i tried. and decided to reduce the number to 5 push ups a day. i tried again. and decided to do 5 push ups with knees on the floor instead. depressed, i went to seek advice from my 'future-brother-in-law-in-lala-land' and realise he got what it takes to write a damn good SOP! (btw, SOP = standard operating procedures)


pushups, i bet she can do
if she cant do normal ground pushups
she with incline pushups
tht means
instead of having both your feet and hands on the ground
your hands on a higher ground
say your sofa
then your leg still on the floor
its easier to do
once she got the strenght to do like 20
in a go
then she can strt pushups
then tell her
quality is more impt than quantity

pple tend to "anyhow" do when they get tired
if she cant do standard ones anymore, ask her to stop
no pt forcing herself to do when her position is not right
then.... just as impt, keep her back straight at all times
pple's back tend to arch when they are tired
at first not easy to do, you will get sian
but once you get the hang of it
you will find it eaiser to train
she just have to endure the initial period
oh ya
do it slowly
when you go down, take abt 1.5-2 secs
the same for going up, 1.5-2 secs
do it slowly, to train for muscle endurance
she want do climbing, muslce endurance more impt, rather than brute strenght
pple always gt the wrng idea tht fast means good
then try to increase the no. of pushups, say every 2 days
by 1 or 2
a bit slow, but need patience, bo bian
and there you go, she is gd to strt


not bad right!? its almost like song lyrics (and its definitely better than the fun pack song!) gonna try it tomorrow! oh yea, gonna check out the rocks in bukit timah soon! hopefully there are low ones to do bouldering for fun! *excited!*
