engineers == round?

in my engineering world, ability is directly proportional to roundness. the rounder you are, the wiser you are. most good engineers are roundish, either at the tummy or at the balding forehead. and the best engineers have both round tummies and balding head. maybe my lohan-fish-extremely-protruding-round-forehead is useful for my engineering career after all! *grins*

btw, doraemon is the best engineer ever.

i think i am still having quarter life crisis~

Just received a msg from my fyp mentor. why didn't i go to him 2 months ago?! he fully understands my situation without me telling him. mind readers are amazing!

I think the main problem now is that you have too many choices so you donno what you want in life. Every choice is a risk. You never know what or where it will bring you to.

I think you are not that suitable in ****ko. I am not so sure about your position but you are not the kind who is suitable for 'boring' jobs. It will only be a matter of time before you job hop.

Have you ever considered finance industries. You wont have problem taking up any job because your IQ and EQ are relatively high. I have a ntu class mate who is working as a financial consultant. He is doing very well now (think his pay quite high, believe to be at least 5-6k a month). However, money is not the main issue here. You get to meet different ppl, talk to them and sell stuff to them. Quite a interesting high paying job (I believe so). However, you will need a lot of time commitment for this job.You may not have so much time for party. Money for time. your choice.

You will definitely get a scholarship if you want to take up PhD. Now is whether you want or not. Guozhan is taking up PhD study. He applied for A*star and ntu scholarships.

The main problem now is that you need to know what you want in life. Money or work life balance. If you cant sort this out, you are just using PhD to escape from making a choice. topic wise, I think mechanical might be better. You have better knowledge on this. There are a lot of fuel cells or bio related topics. Robotic is also a sunset industry, so make that your last choice. Electrical wise, I m not sure, the only ones I know work on fuel cells or controls.

Conclusion: think of what you want before deciding.

i am very easily influenced by a handful of people. he is one of them, SP is one of them. i used to feel that i know exactly what i want. now, not so sure anymore. haha. maybe its really time to go for fortune telling~

murphy's law states that everything that can go wrong will go wrong. i had modified it and created a new law. that is, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, all at the same time. really. suay-ness never come alone.

on thursday, four of us went to eat at the same restaurant, only one person (aka me) got food poisoning (or stomach flu as diagnosed by my doctor). on friday morning, just when i thought that i had vomited everything out and was good to go for work, my fever decided to kick in, so i went to the doctor instead. after two hours of waiting and seeing the doctor, i finally return home, only to realise that i forgot to bring my keys! and today, after my brother dropped me off at woodlands interchange, i realise i forgot to bring my wallet! i was stranded there with $2.40 in my bag (train to ang mo kio cost $2.80). totally, win le lo.

well, i hope my suay-ness has reach the bottom peak. i know things can be much worse but i definitely hope that it will not happen to me. lady luck, hui lai ba~

hello genie! i wish my new office will have filing cabinets like these~

my new studying strategy!

in less than 12 hours time, i am going to take the last exam paper of my entire life. and, this had been the slackest and crispy-est exam period ever. (screw gpa, i am going to be a tai tai!!)

my brother's feng shui master had help us locate the wen chang (god of study, i think) position in my house. And i am spending 50% of my awake time at that location, watching tv and surfing net. HOPEFULLY, the fengshui master is accurate because i am totally depending on it for my paper tomorrow. 

and just in case it doesn't work, i shall use my chant as backup.
